This gun, made by Alps, is a wonderful example of the way in which space, cowboy, and even police motifs were often combined and mixed up in the toys of the 1950s and 1960s. Possessing a picture of a horsehead and horseshoe on its handle, the gun is packaged in a box which says "Cosmic Ray Gun" and shows a picture of policemen shooting (presumably at bad guys). This gun is a sparker with a siren under the barrel which sounds when the trigger is pulled.
