Girard Factory Prototype Model #1830 Made of heavy yellow plastic that has been painted red, this prototype is dated 10-30-51 and was made at the Marx Girard Plant. The trigger is solid red nylon and the gun functions as a water pistol. Note the large rocket on the grip. The body style of this gun, and that of Prototype Model 1942-A which is almost identical, was eventually used to create the Marx Fash Gordon Water Pistol which was produced in the 1950s. This prototype is identified by a model number and date handpainted on the butt of the gun (see below).
