Prototype Rex Mars Planet Patrol Rifle This prototype is particularly interesting in that it differs substantially from the well known production model which eventually reached the market. (See below.) While the production model is 21 1/2 inches long, this prototype is almost 26 inches in length. In addition, the prototype has a different front and rear stock configuration, a thicker tin litho body, and different graphics which are hand painted. This prototype actually functions and makes the typical clicking sound associated with many Marx toys.
